I’m ‘Sike. Even though I trained as an Engineer, my passion is to know God and make Him known. I long to see (wo)men thrive by The Word.
ThrivebyTheWord is a faith-based blog, with an emphasis on the word of God – The Bible. If you are anything like me, you probably have a level of familiarity with it already; how faithful or useful that knowledge is, is an entirely different question.
It is about seeking to awaken a renewed sense of delight and trust in the living and abiding Word of God. It is about living from our identity as sheep who hear the voice of our good shepherd, and follow him.
As I journey along in my faith, I realise how indispensable The Bible is, and how faithfully mining its treasure is a lifelong venture; so what better time to dive in, learn and share? It’s been a long way coming, and I humbly embrace this call to write as a 3-pronged ministry to God, self, and others, in that order. May I invite you to come along and drink from the fount of living waters?
With the myriad of blogs out there, I don’t doubt that this may well be a whisper in the wind, but my prayerful anticipation is that The Lord will speak to His own, just as He did to Elijah, not in the wind, the earthquake, nor the fire, but in ‘the sound of a low whisper’.
